It is located at I-95 - Exit 1 providing easy access only 1/2 mile from the exit ramp and 1 mile from the Florida border. Larry, I don't think the base campground is the best site. They don't take reservations so getting enough space, especially for non retirees or non active duty, would be difficult. A better choice would be Walkabout Rd Park in kingsland, GA. It is probably just as close and the cost is about $16 a night for those that use Passport America. Not sure what the weekly rate would be.
I have stayed there often and like it. They have a pool, easy off and on I95. Also there is no need to go through the base gate...
